Spiders

This is a very broad subject but I think it needs to be. Spiders are vital to the Earth, and people are constantly killing them. Most of the time the reasoning is “it could be venomous”, “it is scary”, or something of the like. However, this is simply not a justifiable reason. More people die from shark attacks than spider bites on average per year, and for those of you afraid of sharks, even more people die of pens per year…drastically more. Spiders help keep other arthropod numbers down, like mosquitoes and flies. If you see a spider in your home or work just release it outside. The chances of it coming back into the building are slim to none. Most spiders are not even very venomous, however you can always catch them with a cup/glass and paper. This way you don’t even need to touch the spider and you can just release it without killing it.
